Hanover Central’s baseball team defeated Kankakee Valley 11-6 in a nonconference matchup, using a strong offensive performance and consistent pressure to secure the victory.
The game took place this week at Hanover Central, where the Wildcats took advantage of scoring opportunities early and continued to build their lead throughout the contest.
Hanover Central finished with 10 hits and drew nine walks, creating traffic on the bases in nearly every inning. Dylan Bowen led the way at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored in a standout performance. Aidan Creasbaum contributed as part of a balanced lineup effort that kept the offense moving and helped generate 11 total runs. The Wildcats also capitalized on three Kankakee Valley errors, extending innings and turning small opportunities into big scoring frames.
On the bases, Hanover Central remained aggressive, totaling five stolen bases to stay in scoring position and apply constant pressure. Defensively, the Wildcats were sharp, recording a perfect fielding performance with no errors across 21 total chances, limiting Kankakee Valley’s opportunities to respond.
