0Comments

Vince Bonato led a dominant offensive surge as Hanover Central rolled past Hobart 18-1 in a conference baseball matchup.

The game took place April 13 at Hanover Central High School, where the Wildcats erupted early and never let up, scoring nine runs in the first inning to seize complete control.

Hanover Central finished with 12 hits and 15 RBIs, consistently applying pressure at the plate. Bonato delivered a standout performance, going 2-for-2 with a home run, double, five RBIs and three runs scored. He reached base in all four plate appearances and set the tone for the Wildcats’ explosive offense. The team added four more runs in the second inning and broke the game open even further with five runs in the fourth.

The Wildcats also showed discipline at the plate, drawing six walks while limiting strikeouts and capitalizing on Hobart’s defensive miscues. Hanover Central benefited from five Hobart errors, extending innings and creating additional scoring opportunities throughout the game.

On the mound, Hanover Central kept Hobart’s offense in check, allowing just one hit and one run across the shortened contest. The Brickies managed their lone run in the fourth inning, but never threatened beyond that point.

With the early offensive outburst and complete control throughout, Hanover Central secured the conference win in convincing fashion.

This is not Vince Bonato. He no longer plays baseball. #3 is now freshman, Zac Alexander.
