The Hanover Central boys soccer team wrapped up a strong 2025 regular season with a 12-4 record and a 5-1 finish in the Northwest Crossroads Conference, claiming the conference championship and establishing themselves as one of the top Class 2A programs in Northwest Indiana.
The Wildcats combined high-powered offense with disciplined defense all year, scoring 65 goals while allowing just 22. Hanover went 7-1 at home, 4-3 on the road, and 1-0 in neutral-site play during the regular season. Their consistency and team chemistry made them one of the most balanced squads in the region.
Key victories came against conference rivals Highland, Andrean, Hobart, and Kankakee Valley, as well as non-conference opponents like Portage, Valparaiso, and Culver Academies. Hanover’s only conference loss came in their regular season finale at Munster on October 1, where they fell 1-0 in a defensive battle.
Hanover carried that confidence straight into the postseason, stringing together five straight playoff victories over Boone Grove, Griffith, Hammond Bishop Noll, South Bend Saint Joseph, and Leo to capture a sectional and regional title. Each performance reflected the team’s growth and resilience, highlighted by a pair of shutouts and clutch second-half goals.
