Hanover Central boys basketball earned a 49–31 nonconference road victory over Morgan Township.
The game was played Jan. 30 at Morgan Township High School, where the Wildcats established control early and maintained separation throughout all four quarters.
Hanover Central set the tone defensively, limiting Morgan Township’s scoring opportunities and dictating the pace from the opening tip. The Wildcats held a narrow edge early before steadily extending the margin through disciplined execution on both ends of the floor, holding the Cherokees to 31 points for the game.
Defensive pressure and strong positioning allowed Hanover Central to force difficult shots and limit second-chance opportunities. Offensively, the Wildcats capitalized on efficient possessions, working the ball through half-court sets and converting timely baskets to keep momentum on their side.
Senior guards Langdon Oldenburg, JP Driscoll, Ben Schreiber and Jack Geldmyer anchored the Wildcats’ lineup, providing leadership and stability. Seniors Owen Sosnowski and juniors Lukas Valiska, Christopher Maranowicz and Callan Salgado contributed depth and energy, helping Hanover Central maintain consistency.
Up next, Hanover Central will travel to face Lowell on Feb. 13 in conference action.
The last time the two teams met came March 7, when Hanover Central earned a 45–33 victory over Lowell.
