Hanover Central delivered a dominant performance in girls softball, shutting out Morgan Township 15-0 behind a powerful offensive display and sharp play in all phases of the game.
The nonconference matchup took place April 6 at Morgan Township High School, where Hanover Central established control early and never allowed momentum to shift.
The Wildcats set the tone in the first inning with four runs, immediately putting pressure on the defense. That momentum carried into the second inning, where Hanover Central added six more runs to extend the lead. The offense remained aggressive in the third inning, scoring five additional runs to push the advantage further out of reach.
Hanover Central finished with 12 hits and capitalized on nearly every scoring opportunity, consistently finding ways to produce runs in key situations. The team’s ability to string together hits and maintain pressure proved to be the difference throughout the game.
Kaylee Blocker led the offense with a 2-for-2 performance that included two triples and four RBIs. Madison Sailsbery added a double and two RBIs, while Jordyn Vrable contributed two doubles and two RBIs. Sienna Stilley also played a role with a sacrifice fly that helped fuel the scoring surge.
In the circle, Claire Edgerton pitched four shutout innings, allowing just two hits while recording six strikeouts. Defensively, Hanover Central committed no errors and maintained steady execution throughout the game.
