Hanover Central Girls Basketball Defeats River Forest

Hanover Central earned a 53–36 road non-conference win over River Forest.

The game was played on Dec. 13 at River Forest High School in Hobart, Indiana.

Hanover Central built steady separation across all four quarters, leading 23–12 at halftime before pulling away in the second half. The Wildcats outscored River Forest 14–10 in the third quarter and closed the game with a 16–7 advantage in the fourth, maintaining control on both ends of the floor. Hanover Central finished with 53 points on balanced scoring and limited River Forest’s offensive efficiency throughout the contest.

Simone Parker led Hanover Central with a game-high 18 points, adding three assists and three steals while shooting efficiently from the field. Sienna Stilley contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, including strong work at the free-throw line, while Kaydence Beach added eight points. Brooklyn Oostman provided a presence on the glass with 11 rebounds, helping Hanover Central win the rebounding battle and limit second-chance opportunities.

Hanover Central will return to action on Jan. 9 when it travels to Hammond Bishop Noll for a 7 p.m. matchup.

The two teams last met on Jan. 10, when Hanover Central defeated Hammond Bishop Noll 68–51.
