The Hanover Central High School girls soccer team heads into the 2025 season with confidence after an extraordinary 2024 campaign. The Wildcats posted an 18–3 overall record and went 6–1 in the Northwest Crossroads Conference, finishing second behind Munster. They dominated opponents with 106 goals scored and only 17 allowed.
Their postseason pushed further as they captured the regional championship with a commanding 5–0 victory over Yorktown, earning a trip to the semifinals of the Class 2A state tournament.
Now, the Wildcats return most of their key contributors — including senior star Kiara Desiderio, who led the team with 84 goals and 177 points — and a core of promising underclass talents.
Preseason training has focused on ball control, quick passing, defensive cohesion, and group fitness to endure the grind of league and postseason play. With that foundation, Hanover Central eyes a return to glory, seeking a conference crown and another deep postseason run in 2025.
