The Hanover Central girls basketball team earned a 55–25 victory over Griffith in a nonconference matchup.
The game was played Jan. 17 at Hanover Central High School in Cedar Lake, Indiana, as the Wildcats defended their home court against the visiting Panthers.
Hanover Central set the tone early and maintained control in each quarter, building a steady lead behind balanced scoring and active defense. Senior Sienna Stilley led the Wildcats with a game-high 21 points, shooting efficiently from the floor while also contributing on the boards. Nadia Paun and Brooke Oostman each added six points, while Kaydence Beach chipped in six and provided energy in transition. Zoey Morache, Simone Parker, Isabella Sarkey and Claire Edgerton also found the scoring column as the Wildcats rotated multiple players and kept constant pressure on the defensive end. Hanover Central finished with 38 total rebounds and forced 23 turnovers, limiting Griffith’s offensive opportunities throughout the contest.
Up next, Hanover Central will travel to Crown Point for a nonconference matchup scheduled for Jan. 29 with a 7 p.m. tipoff.
The last time the two teams met, Crown Point defeated Hanover Central 64–50 on Jan. 30 in a road contest for the Wildcats.
