Hanover Central High School delivered a notable performance at the Northwest Crossroads Conference Championship held on Saturday, showcasing their capabilities in both boys’ and girls’ races.
The event took place on October 4, 2025, at Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana. It gathered top runners from across the conference to compete in the 5,000-meter events.
According to the results, Hanover Central’s athletes excelled with strong performances. On the girls’ side, Kennedy Morgan led with a sixth-place finish in 19:57.59. She was followed by Althea Zinmer (11th), Elisa Cornejo (12th), and Audrey Zuzich (14th), highlighting the team’s depth and consistency. The boys’ squad also performed well, led by Ryan Sandberg who finished fifth in 16:52.65. Noah Hernandez (9th), Bennett Duffy (11th), and Grant Zuzich (14th) all secured top-15 finishes, reinforcing Hanover Central’s competitive standing.
Looking ahead, Hanover Central is preparing for its next challenge at the regional meet. The team aims to build on this strong performance and compete for top honors at the state level.
In last year’s conference meet, Hanover Central similarly excelled with multiple top-10 individual placements, demonstrating the program’s depth and determination. The Wildcats’ athletes continue to show strength and dominance at every meet.
