Hanover Central senior Israel Sinnott has put together a strong 2025–26 campaign at 175 pounds, posting a 23–2 record and establishing himself as one of the top wrestlers in the state in his weight class.

The season has featured multiple high-level victories over ranked opponents. Sinnott earned pins against Kale Shotts of Rochester and Kadyn O’Neal of Mishawaka, along with decision wins over Vinny Freeman of Penn and Lucas Anderson of Chesterton. He also recorded a technical fall over Devon Rush of Kokomo and a major decision against Lyric Mitchell of Perry Meridian, showing the ability to score from neutral and control matches in the top position. On Jan. 17, Sinnott added another statement performance with a pin of Tymothy James of Lowell, continuing a stretch of consistent results against conference and regional competition.

Ranked as high as No. 4 in the state at 175 this season, Sinnott brings postseason experience from previous years, including a 2025 state qualification at 165 pounds and a fourth-place finish at semi-state. He has also earned sectional and regional titles during his career and placed fifth at the Frosh-Soph State tournament earlier in his development, reflecting steady growth and durability in one of Indiana’s most competitive weight classes.

Up Next Sinnott will compete in the IHSAA Regional on Feb. 7 at 8 a.m. at Crown Point High School.
