The Hanover Central High School girls volleyball team enters 2025 riding the momentum of a gritty 2024 campaign. The Wildcats posted a 14–19 overall record and went 7–6 in the Northwest Crossroads Conference, finishing fourth among seven teams. They tallied 51 set wins to 63 losses.
The Wildcats open their 2025 season with a slate of fierce nonconference road matches before diving into a punishing conference gauntlet that includes Munster, Hobart, Lowell, and Kankakee Valley. Their home court will serve as the backdrop for key matchups aimed at building early confidence.
Experienced upperclassmen—who powered last year’s win over Highland and rivalry battles—are expected to lead a roster of veterans and hungry newcomers. In preseason, the coaching staff focused on tightening serve-receive, strengthening blocking, and executing dynamic offensive sets. Conditioning and tight communication remain central priorities.
Hanover Central’s success last season stemmed from defensive grit and clutch performances, but their ability to close tight sets will be even more critical in 2025. With strong leadership and improved cohesion, the Wildcats hope not just to contend for a conference title, but to inspire pride and resilience with every serve, block, and spike.
