The Hanover Central Wildcats faced challenges in their offensive performance on Tuesday, resulting in a 36–20 defeat against the Morgan Township Cherokees. This non-conference varsity girls’ basketball game was held at Morgan Township Middle/High School.
According to the game report, Morgan Township took an early lead, ending the first quarter with a score of 10–5 and extending it to 21–12 by halftime. The Cherokees dominated the third quarter, outscoring Hanover Central 12–2, and ultimately secured a 36–20 victory. Saffy Thompson-Woods was noted for her standout season performance for Morgan Township, while Sienna Stilley led Hanover Central’s efforts during the game.
Looking ahead, Hanover Central is set to travel to Wheatfield for a conference matchup against Kankakee Valley on Tuesday, December 9. In their last encounter on December 10, 2024, Hanover Central emerged victorious at home with a narrow win of 38–35 in a conference matchup.
