Hanover Central senior Langdon Oldenburg has emerged as the Wildcats’ statistical and leadership anchor during the 2025–26 boys basketball season, setting the tone on both ends of the floor and providing consistent production in the heart of the lineup.
Through mid-January of the 2025–26 campaign, Oldenburg is averaging 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while serving as the team’s primary captain, guiding a young roster through conference and nonconference play.
Oldenburg’s ability to score in the half court, finish through contact and control the glass has made him a focal point of Hanover Central’s offense. His rebounding presence has also helped the Wildcats extend possessions and limit second-chance opportunities for opponents, while his defensive effort in the paint has added a physical edge to the lineup.
Beyond the numbers, Oldenburg’s leadership has been just as impactful. As a senior captain, he has provided stability, communication and on-court direction, particularly in close games and late-quarter situations. His experience and work ethic have set the standard for the Wildcats’ younger players.
Hanover Central has also received key contributions from junior Beau Wiancek, who has produced multiple double-figure scoring performances, including a 19-point outing, and junior Lukas Valiska, who has been a steady part of the rotation and a reliable scoring option.
With Oldenburg leading the way, the Wildcats continue to build around a core that blends veteran leadership with emerging young talent.
