The Washington Township Senators secured a narrow victory over the Hanover Central Wildcats with a final score of 45-38 in Wednesday’s non-conference season opener.
The game, held on November 5, 2025, at Hanover Central High School, saw the Senators take an early lead by scoring 13 points in the first quarter against Hanover Central’s 8. According to reports from the game, Washington Township maintained their advantage through halftime with a score of 24-17. Despite a late push from Hanover Central, the Senators concluded the third quarter at 34-26 and ultimately won with a final score of 45-38. Senior Sienna Stilley was instrumental in the victory, contributing 11 points along with three rebounds and two steals.
Looking ahead, Hanover Central is set to host Wheeler High School on Friday, November 15, at 6:30 p.m.
In their previous encounter on January 16, 2025, Washington Township also emerged victorious over Hanover Central with a score of 59-47.
