Hanover Central’s varsity baseball team is coming off a strong 2025 campaign in which the Wildcats finished 22-8 overall and 8-3 in Northwest Crossroads Conference play, placing second in the league standings.

The season took place during the spring of 2025 in Cedar Lake, Indiana, where Hanover Central posted an 8-2 record at home, 9-4 on the road, and 5-2 at neutral sites.

The Wildcats demonstrated consistency on both sides of the ball, scoring 231 runs while allowing 125. Hanover Central opened the year with a 4-3 win over Crown Point and later secured key conference victories against Kankakee Valley, Highland, Lowell, and Munster. Among the team’s most dominant performances were a 20-5 win at Highland, an 11-0 shutout at Munster, and a 15-4 victory over New Prairie. The Wildcats also earned quality nonconference wins against Cathedral, Illiana Christian, Brebeuf Jesuit, and Lake Central. In tournament play, Hanover Central defeated Illiana Christian 9-1 and edged Kankakee Valley 10-9 before its season ended with a 5-2 loss to conference rival Andrean.

With a No. 12 ranking in Indiana to close last season, Hanover Central enters the upcoming spring looking to contend for a conference title and make a deeper postseason run. The Wildcats are scheduled to open the new season at home against Morgan Township on March 28 at 12 p.m.
