Hanover Central senior linebacker Lincoln Zerby is focusing on refining his skills as he prepares for his final season.
According to Zerby, “I’m working on my speed a little bit. We’ve got the strength down, but I just want to get a little faster.” Head coach Tony Bonalerto commented on Zerby’s dedication, stating that his approach demonstrates leadership. “He’s showing what it takes to succeed,” Bonalerto said. “Lincoln has been in championship games every year, and he knows the standard.”
Zerby expressed his readiness to lead both on and off the field. “I’m ready to show the young guys what it takes,” he said. “I want to guide them through the way and push us deep into the playoffs. We’re a brotherhood, and I can’t wait to lead.”
This sense of brotherhood has been a key factor in Hanover’s progress since joining the Northwest Crossroads Conference (NCC). Zerby emphasized that this bond goes beyond mere words. “Every time we break the huddle, it’s a brotherhood,” he said. “We love everyone on this team, and we’re ready to prove it again this fall.”
